Famous five face eviction 

Five Celebrity Big Brother housemates have been nominated for eviction, and two will leave the house this Friday.

Dirk Benedict, Jo O'Meara, Ian Watkins, Shilpa Shetty and Cleo Rocos will have their fate decided by public vote.

The announcement was met with shock in the Big Brother house, and former model Danielle Lloyd burst into tears.

Tabloid papers have already started a campaign to evict pop singer O'Meara, who was involved in the alleged racist bullying of Bollywood star Shetty.

Media watchdog Ofcom has received more than 40,000 complaints over the racism claims surrounding the Channel 4 show.

Shetty is now favourite to win the show, which concludes on Sunday.

Meanwhile, former housemate Ken Russell has joined the debate over allegations of racism towards Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on the show.

Referring to Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara, Russell used the term "guttersnipes".

When asked if he thought the bullying on the show was racially motivated, he said: "Yes, I've studied the programme and there's no doubt about it, Jade led the other two girls - who were just rather pretty, mindless ladies and, until she came in, doing no harm - into absolute bullies, like herself."

"I don't think Shilpa was expecting such treatment. I must say she stood up well to it. I hope she wins."
