Jade is out with 82% of the vote

Jade Goody, central role player of a reported racism row on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, has been voted off the show.

Goody, 25, was up against Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, who had been the target of the alleged abuse from Goody and others in the reality TV show. Goody received a staggering 82% of the vote.

Channel 4 decided not to have a crowd outside the house, as is usual on the eviction show, after the public furore.

Goody and Shetty made up before the eviction, with Shetty saying she did not believe Goody was racist. However it must be noted that Shilpa still does not know what was said behind her back.

The racism allegations have dominated the news agenda in the UK and India.

On hearing the news Goody breathed a sigh of relief and said: "OK."

She hugged Shetty before turning to kiss Her boyfriend, Jack Tweed.

"I knew and I'll be fine... I'm gonna start to cry and I don't want to cry," she said.

Goody will leave the Big Brother house in a live eviction on Channel 4 during the 2230 GMT show, when she will also be interviewed by McCall.
