Shilpa lays down the law

Shilpa finally came to the end of her patience when Jackie started ordering the servants around and told them to throw away food despite them not having had anything to eat. At first Shilpa went into the bedroom and sat down and told Jermaine 'enough is enough,' to which Jermaine told her he too was upset but she had to remain calm as it would just create tension and problems between Jackie and Shilpa. She immediately snapped back that no-one deserved to be humiliated like they were and that if her friends were being put down she would not stand for it. She then called Jackie aside and told her she should be considerate.

An argument ensued that resulted in both ignoring each other temporarily until Shilpa brought Jackie a glass of water and asked her to calm down, apologizing for being abrupt with her. Jackie rejected her apology initially but came round the next morning.

Later the next day, Shilpa was telling Dirk about the incident. Dirk has made it clear that he is less than impressed with Jackie's behaviour in her disagreement with Shilpa last night. The subject came up after Jermaine wondered "how people can spend this much time together and not want to spend time together afterwards," referring to last night's problems. Dirk and Shilpa explained that Big Brother is playing mind-games with them, but Jermaine wasn't impressed. "They can try but you can't lose your compsure," said Jermaine. "I've never lost my composure before," said Shilpa. "But I couldn't take it. I could have continued to fight but I don't like to make scenes." "In real life you just avoid people like that," said Dirk. "You just leave the party."

"Thank God for Jermaine, I tell you," said Shilpa.

"Right in front of the Big Brother door I thought a fight would start," said Jermaine to Dirk. "And you [Shilpa] were trying to make up with her and she wouldn't let her [Shilpa] touch her and she was trying to make up with her."
"Jermaine was ready to pounce on her," added Shilpa. "He was watching like a hawk!"

Shilpa said later: "I came to terms with it and realised that Jackie has had a different kind of life. I can't be ranting about it."

So far, Shilpa has been the only housemate to be able to tolerate and put Jackie in her place. Go Shilpa!
